Dr.S. Anbumalar has qualified with M.Com.,MBA., M.Phil., PGDCA. Ph.D. She has 20 years of teaching experience in Commerce. Her area of specialization includes Corporate Finance, Accounting and Taxation. She has presented 59 research papers in various National and International Conferences. To her credit, she has published 52 research papers in refereed and peer reviewed international journals.

The department of Commerce has started offering B.Com Course during the year 1998 and M.Com 2010 and B.Com PA since 2011. To feather its gap in research, the department has been offering two research programs M.Phil and Ph.D. The department has well equipped with latest curriculum and it has adopted Information and Communication Technology enabled teaching pedagogy. The department has updated its B.Com PA syllabi syllabi at par with professional bodies such as ICAI. Students are prepared for industrial requirements as the department has tie up with many institutions. Students are given Tally certificate from Tally Academy. Alumni of this department are working in reputed companies such as TCS, CTS, HCL, Oracle, WIPRO, E&Y and Ford.
