Requirement for Passing University Examination
   
A candidate shall be declared to have passed in a theory paper or practical if he/she obtains not less than 40% marks. Foundation Course carries 40% pass mark and will be recorded as either pass or fail in the marks statement. Candidate failing to secure the minimum marks prescribed shall be required to reappear for the examination in the respective papers/practicals and obtain not less than the marks required for passing.
Classification of Sucessful Candidates
   
» Candidates securing 75% and above in all part III papers in first attempt will be awarded FIRST CLASS with distinction .
» Candidates passing the examination in Part I or Part II or Part III securing not less than 60% of total marks shall be
declared to have passed in FIRST CLASS
» Candidates securing not less than 50% in Part I,II and III shall be declared to have passed in SECOND CLASS and who secure 40% and above in Part I, II & III are declared to have passed in THIRD CLASS.
Improvement of Marks
   
Those students who desire to improve their marks already obtained in subject or subjects will be permitted to do so within two semesters after the candidates have passed those particular papers. The improved marks will be considered for classification and not ranking.
Conferment of the Degree
   
No candidate shall be conferred the degree unless he / she has undergone the prescribed course of study for a period of not less than six semesters in an approved institution affiliated to the University. The candidate is eligible if he / she has participated satisfactorily in either NSS, NCC or Physical Education atleast for a period of two years as evidenced by a certificate issued by the Principal of the institution. The candidate is eligible if he /she has successfully completed the field work or institutional training as evidenced by a certificate issued by the Principal of the college.
